CDF March meeting

At the latest CDF meeting on Friday, 19th March, the Forum was firstly joined by Simon Blanchflower CBE, CEO of East West Rail Co. Discussions focused on updates on the construction’s progress and the process of EWR’s current non-statutory consultation process. Members of the Forum were then able to have their questions answered about the plans, which included the provision of water and electricity, and timing issues.

The Forum was then joined by representatives of the OxCam Arc Unit from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG). Following an overview of the Spatial Framework and project timeline, discussions and questions covered a range of topics, from affordable homes, to housing development and employment growth, to the government’s broader strategic plans.
