Greater Cambridge Partnership (Public Authority)

1-2 week summer placement aimed mainly at years 9-10. There is also an apprenticeship programme aimed at graduates wishing to become planners. Attend site visits, applicant meetings, design reviews, design workshops, and youth engagement workshops, and more.

1 week spring/summer placement available to all age groups, from Year 9 up to Undergraduate. You will experience Planning, Transport Planning and Heritage Planning, while working on a range of private sector development planning projects across Cambridge and the East of England. Opportunity to gain experience using a Geographic Information System (GIS).

Endurance Estates

A day’s work experience in a property company learning about the role of the Chartered Surveyor, Renewable Energy Surveyor and Chartered Town Planner. Activities include: attending team meetings with the Site Acquisition, Renewable Energy or Planning Teams; visit to potential development sites; assisting with the analysis of possible development constraints and opportunities.
