CDF Members & guests met for the Planning for the Future: the Cambridgeshire Debate
On Friday 9th October 2020, CDF hosted the first edition of the new #CDFwebinars series, which was devoted to Planning for the Future: the Cambridgeshire Debate.
The distinguished panel was formed of Anthony Browne MP (South Cambridgeshire), Stephen Kelly (Joint Director of Planning and Economic Development, Greater Cambridge), and Councillor Katie Thornburrow (Executive Councillor for Planning Policy and Open Spaces), and was chaired by CDF Chair, Andrew Lansley.
The debate opened with each of the panel members offering their views on the proposals made in the Government’s recent White Paper, and how it would affect their actions moving forward.
Following a period of questions for the panel speakers, Forum Members presented to the panel issues which the Forum had previously discussed, and gratefully heard their responses.
The Forum will now work towards combining its views on the key issues into a response to the Government’s White Paper.
